Granite’s exceptional heat-, scratch-, and acid-resistance makes it an ideal substrate for kitchen countertop construction. However, just like any other stone surface, it still needs maintenance and care.
The most overlooked service in granite maintenance is periodic sealing. While many countertops have been resinated, a process which draws a polyester resin through the stone’s tight pore structure to reinforce brittle stone, making it more shock-resistant and shipping-viable.
They did nice work. They were very professional. They explained the work. They went over whenever pointed to blemish. They polished, sealed and filled in chips on our kitchen granite counter top.

If you are unaware whether your granite has been resinated, it’s recommended that you seal your stone every other year to prevent staining.
Granite stain removal is a lengthy process which requires the use of a poultice being applied for 24-hours to draw out the stain. The problem is that the poultice solutions can be nasty and odorous, with no guarantee the stain will be eliminated and treatments can take 1 to 12 applications.
MARBLELIFE can and will provide this service, but we would rather help you arrange periodic seal applications as part of a standard maintenance plan. Something far cheaper than stain removal.
